Improving identity isn’t just about making systems more secure - it’s also about making sure that identity systems work for everybody.  For people who are poor, who are of color, who are living with disabilities - some of America’s identity systems don’t work that well today, and this then creates gaps that can exacerbate other inequities.  This panel will dive into different perspectives on how the design choices we make in both physical and digital identity systems can impact individuals, and discuss ways we can make things better.
