Michael A. Clauser is Head of US Federal Government Affairs at Okta, Inc., the world's leading tech neutral provider of digital identity solutions. Before joining Okta, Mike was a Principal at Access Partnership, the top global technology policy consultancy where he led the North America and Europe/UK P&Ls. Earlier in his tech sector career Mike established the first government affairs function for Analog Devices, a Fortune 500 US semiconductor company, and was the senior American in global government affairs operations for Fujitsu Limited, the Japanese ICT services giant. He was a national security aide to an U.S. Congressman and twice a Pentagon appointee in the Bush Administration. Mike spent a decade as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve and is a veteran of Operation Inherent Resolve. He is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and has been published or quoted in the WSJ, Forbes, Newsweek, Politico, Axios, BBC, and The Telegraph among others. He is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), and Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E). Mike completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University, where he served as an appropriator in student government, and holds masters degrees from the U.S. Naval War College, Poznan University of Economics in Poland, and University of Exeter in England. He earned the Eagle Scout rank in his youth.
